Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By booking our taxi services, you agree to the terms set out below for RAIL CABS.

Service Scope

We provide taxi services across Tamil Nadu and India with professional drivers and well-maintained vehicles.

Booking & Payments

Bookings confirmed after advance payment. Transparent pricing with no hidden charges.

Safety & Reliability

All vehicles are properly insured and drivers are verified for your safety.

1. Definitions

  • "Company" means RAIL CABS.
  • "Customer" means the person making the booking.
  • "Service" means the taxi transportation service.
  • "Booking" means the confirmed reservation for taxi service.
  • "Driver" means the company-approved driver assigned for the trip.

2. Service Description

RAIL CABS provides taxi services for inter-city and intra-city travel across Tamil Nadu and India. Services include local cab rentals, outstation tours, airport transfers, corporate transport, wedding functions, pilgrimage tours, and monthly rentals as per booking confirmation.

3. Booking Confirmation & Payment Terms

  • Advance Payment: 30% advance required to confirm booking for outstation trips.
  • Balance Payment: Payable before start of journey or as per agreement.
  • Payment Modes: Cash, UPI, Bank Transfer accepted.
  • Local Trips: Full payment can be made at the end of the trip.
  • Receipt: Payment receipt will be provided for all transactions.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • 24+ Hours before: Full refund of advance amount.
  • 12-24 Hours before: 50% of advance amount refundable.
  • Less than 12 Hours: No refund of advance amount.
  • No Show: Full booking amount will be charged.
  • Driver Waiting: If driver arrives and customer cancels, waiting charges apply.

5. Vehicle & Driver

  • All vehicles are properly maintained, insured, and equipped with necessary permits.
  • Drivers are verified, experienced, and possess valid driving licenses.
  • Vehicle type subject to availability; equivalent alternative may be provided if needed.
  • AC functionality depends on weather conditions and vehicle model.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate pickup/drop locations and timing.
  • Be ready at the pickup point at the scheduled time.
  • Treat driver and vehicle with respect.
  • Pay toll charges, parking fees, and state taxes as applicable.
  • Ensure children are properly seated and supervised during the journey.
  • Inform about extra passengers or luggage during booking.

7. Delays & Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by traffic conditions, weather, road closures, accidents, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer and adjust schedules accordingly. No compensation will be provided for delays due to force majeure events.

8. Luggage Policy

  • Standard luggage capacity as per vehicle type (2-3 bags for sedan, 4-5 bags for SUV).
  • Excess luggage may require larger vehicle at additional cost.
  • Valuables should be carried by passengers; company not responsible for lost items.
  • Fragile items should be informed during booking.

9. Waiting Charges

  • Free Waiting: 15 minutes grace period after scheduled pickup time.
  • After Grace Period: ₹50 per hour waiting charges apply.
  • Waiting time calculated from scheduled pickup time.
  • For airport/railway pickups: 60 minutes free waiting from flight/train arrival time.

10. Route Changes & Extra Stops

Route changes during journey may affect the fare. Additional charges will apply for detours or extra stops not mentioned during booking. Any additional waiting time at extra stops will be charged as per waiting charges policy.

11. Damage to Vehicle

Customer will be responsible for any damage to the vehicle interior or exterior caused by them or their companions during the journey. This includes stains, scratches, broken parts, or any other damage beyond normal wear and tear.

12. Prohibited Activities

  • Smoking, alcohol consumption, or illegal substances in the vehicle.
  • Overloading beyond vehicle capacity.
  • Illegal activities or carrying prohibited items.
  • Misbehavior with driver or company staff.
  • Eating messy food items that may damage vehicle interior.
  • Playing loud music without driver's permission.

13. Pricing & Additional Charges

  • Fares include fuel, driver charges, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Exclude toll charges, parking fees, state taxes, and driver accommodation for outstation trips.
  • Night charges (10 PM to 6 AM): 25% extra on base fare.
  • Driver allowance (for multi-day trips): ₹300 per night for accommodation.
  • Inter-state permits and taxes extra as applicable.

14. Customer Feedback & Complaints

We value customer feedback. Any complaints or suggestions should be reported within 24 hours of service completion to +91 98843 28536 or +91 97101 12264. We will address all genuine complaints promptly and take appropriate action.

15. Liability

Our liability is limited to the fare paid for the service. We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of business, or personal injuries except where proven to be caused by our negligence. We recommend passengers to have their own travel insurance.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
